The Gap Inc website talks about working to give back to the environment and keep running a sustainable company. Further exploration shows different ways they are working to give back and help keep the company expanding its ways in giving back. One example of what Gap has done is they installed a one-megawatt solar power system at their West Coast distribution center. This reduced dependance on fossil fuels, helping their energy conservation strategy.
Gap is working to keep sustainable but why work to just help a single distribution center. Even in other acts toward the environment they are doing such a small part. Being such a big company they should be working to expand all of their projects and bring more of their company into their "energy conservation strategy."
I believe that Gap working to better their environment is a great idea, ahead of many companies in their goal of maximizing effectiveness in their daily duties and working toward helping their company. Though they are doing several small things Gap is not working with all of the part to their company to keep their "environmental footprint" lower.
